Prism is a service that allows users to quickly, easily, and securely access their automation systems and computers.
Prism works on the idea of Reflectors. A Reflector provides you with a simple URL that will allow you to securely access your home server. There is one Reflector per Prism-enabled application you want to access on your home computer. You are able to get more Reflectors as necessary for more applications or locations.
The diagram below demonstrates that on a remote computer, using a web-browser, you can enter the Reflector URL. Prism then reflects the web page from your home computer to your remote computer, wherever you are in the world.

Prism enables this secure remote Web browser access with no network configuration necessary. Prism provides:
- Browser access from anywhere (office, vacation, cafe, PDA/mobile phone, etc.) to your Prism-enabled home server application (such as Indigo)
- Operating system independent – access from Mac, Windows, Linux, or embedded devices (mobile phones, PDAs)
- Personalized easy-to-remember URL (ex: https://jacob_home.goprism.com)
- Fully encrypted (128-bit) communication
- Hassle free setup – just create a Prism Reflector account and turn it on!
- No firewall configuration needed
- No router port forwarding needed
- No static IP address or DynDNS account needed
- No non-standard port numbers to remember
To begin using Prism and setting up Reflectors, create an account, purchase a subscription and then create a Reflector with that subscription. You will then use a Prism-enabled application (such as Indigo) to activate the Reflector and start using it.
